At relatively short notice, I flew to Florida to attend a workshop. It was a wonderful opportunity. I went with some wonderful people and met a great cohort of dedicated researchers. I took book four of Sabaa Tahir’s An Ember in the Ashes series: A Reaper at the Gates. Unfortunately, I finished the book while I was there and could not get to a bookstore to buy something else to read. While I tried an audio book for my (cell / mobile) phone, I prefer to read. So, when faced with the prospect of another 30 hours of flying, my highest priority on the homeward journey was to find a store that had books in it. Fortunately, the airport in Florida has a great store that had three or four shelves of books. I hurriedly scanned them, looking for a nice cover, hoping the story was good, which it seemed to be from the back cover blurb, and settled on the first book in Nora Roberts’ The Dragon Heart Legacy series, pleased it had three books in it. When I arrived home, I purchased the other two. Here is the back cover blurb:

In the realm of Talamh, a teenage warrior named Keegan emerges from a lake holding a sword—representing both power and the terrifying responsibility to protect the Fey. In another realm known as Philadelphia, a young woman has just discovered she possesses a treasure of her own.

When Breen Kelly was a girl, her father would tell her stories of magical places. Now she’s an anxious twentysomething mired in student debt and working a job she hates. But one day she stumbles on a shocking discovery: her mother has been hiding an investment account in her name. It has been funded by her long-lost father—and it’s worth nearly four million dollars.

Nora Roberts is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of more that 230 novels.
